Entrepreneurial and Business Management Experience

Over the past 17 years, I have built a successful computer consulting practice specializing in Macintosh computer support, marketing database design services, and web page design and promotion. My broad spectrum of clientele has included small and home businesses, real estate agencies, law firms, travel agencies, publishers, musicians, artists, a log home manufacturer, a retirement community, the University of Oregon, the Software Association of Oregon, and many home users, just to name a few.

Operating my own business has also provided me with an opportunity to learn a wide range of business management skills. In addition to my consulting work, have played every role - from sales and marketing, to customer service and customer relations, to bookkeeping and accounting, which has given me valuable insight into all aspects of business management.


Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Experience

As a small business owner, I have built my business though telephone and outside sales. I have designed my own advertising and marketing campaigns, including print ads, trade show participation, and networking. I also have retail sales and customer service experience.

Teaching and Presentation Experience: I have teaching and training experience in a wide array of professional and academic environments. My computer consulting profession has given me the opportunity to provide training and tutoring to a very broad range of individuals and small groups. As a graduate teaching student at Michigan State University, I taught lectures to classes as large as 150 students. At Lane Community College, I designed and taught my own curricula to classes ranging from 10-100 pupils.


Proven Record - Account Management

I feel strongly that my customers should be empowered by technology, rather than befuddled by it. This, along with my passion and enthusiasm for my work, has made me successful in my field. The majority of my consulting clients are repeat customers, and have used my services for at least 2 years - some have been with me since I started my business in 1990.
