Extremely Safe and Secure -- Mac HelpMate's remote screen sharing technology uses a number of safety features to ensure the security of my clients:
Screen sharing can only be initiated by the customer.
The customer has the ability to see everything that is happening on their computer, and always has the ability to control their mouse and keyboard and/or disconnect me from their computer.
The remote connection is made using a one-time use authorization code. As soon as the customer disconnects, I cannot reconnect without a new code initiated by the customer.
The connection takes place using a secure "SSH Tunnel" using "Blowfish" encryption technology...in English, this means our remote connection uses even more secure technology than financial institutions use to transfer information.
When the download has completed, you'll see a file called "machelpmatev2.5.zip" that looks like the image to the right.
Unless you have changed the default location for downloads, you will find the file on your Desktop.
2. Double-Click on Mac HelpMate
The ZIP file you downloaded should automatically decompress from to reveal the Mac HelpMate application that looks like the one to the right. If not, double-click on the "machelpmatev2.2.zip" file to decompress it manually.
